Partners to Achieve Classroom Excellence

What is P.A.C.E?

Many parents like to support specific teachers and their classrooms directly. The only approved way to do this is through the PVA P.A.C.E. program.  It is not allowed for a parent to give a cash donation directly to a teacher.  Not only does it open that teacher up to favoritism charges, but you don’t get a tax exemption.  When you give to PACE you get a receipt that you can use to deduct the donation from your taxes.

The program allows teachers and instructional staff to purchase additional classroom items such as: software, classroom books, visual aids, enrichment materials and many other items.

Each teacher recipient can have up to 600 P.A.C.E. dollars. Historically, P.A.C.E. sponsorships have been $150, BUT ANY DONATION IS GRACIOUSLY ACCEPTED! It’s not necessary for your child to be in the classroom(s) that you choose to sponsor. Departments such as PE, music, art, computer lab, foreign language, chorus, band, orchestra, media center, guidance, and others need sponsors too!

Things you can do:

• Fill out the PACE form and make a donation to a teacher and/or classroom of your choice.

• To make the P.A.C.E. donation online, click here and select “P.A.C.E Donation” from the “Donation Type” drop-down list.
