About Box Tops

Grocery receipts that turn into cash for Pine View.

Box Tops for Education is a General Mills program that has raised money for schools since 1996. If you remember clipping little pink coupons off cereal boxes, that part is over: the clip program ended on March 2, 2023, and the whole thing now runs through a free phone app. You buy the groceries you were already buying, scan the receipt, and the app finds the participating products for you.

Each Box Top is worth 10 cents to Pine View, and bonus offers on certain products are worth more. There is no cost to you and nothing extra to purchase. Box Tops sends the school a check twice a year, by December 31 and by April 30, and PVA puts the money to work at Pine View.

It adds up quietly. A single receipt is usually a dollar or two, but a few hundred families scanning all year is real money for classrooms.

Step 1

Set it up once

Download the free Box Tops for Education app from the App Store or Google Play.
Create an account (you need to be 18 or older).
Search for our school by ZIP code, 34229, and choose Pine View School. Searching by ZIP is more reliable than by name, since the app matches the exact spelling the school enrolled under.

Step 2

Scan every receipt

Scan within 14 days of purchase. After that the receipt no longer counts.
Paper receipts, emailed receipts, store app receipts, and online grocery orders all work.
You do not need to know which products qualify. The app reads the receipt and finds them.
You can submit up to 50 receipts a day, so go ahead and catch up on the pile in your bag.

Shortcut

Earn without scanning at all

Link your Box Tops account to your Walmart account, then pay with the card saved in your Walmart wallet. Qualifying purchases, in store or online, credit to Pine View automatically with no receipt to scan.

Spread the word

Ask the grandparents

Anyone can scan for Pine View, not just current families. Grandparents, neighbors, alumni families, and anyone who shops for groceries can pick our school in the app. It is one of the easiest ways for extended family to support the school from anywhere in the country.
